• Helping them understand better what is important to people in their community, find the best solutions to achieve their goals and helping them put their own solutions into practice.

• Supporting the process of preparing community-led strategies and action plans to develop a shared vision and the steps necessary for achieving agreed goals and desired changes that are important to a community.

• Championing innovative approaches to partnership working with delivery agencies and others in the public and private sector.

• Coordinating the preparation of funding proposals and writing bids to secure funding for community-led project and programmes.

• Supporting innovation in the design, funding and delivery of health and social care services.

 

We support small and medium sized businesses by:

• Helping them engage and build effective working relationships with the public sector to open up new markets for products and services and identify potential gaps in the market.

• Facilitating public sector development partnerships and the implementation of demonstration trials and pre-operational testing of new technology-enabled tools and services for uptake by the public sector.

• Coordinating the preparation of funding proposals and writing bids to secure funding for projects.

​

• Providing project management support, particularly those involving working in partnership with the public sector.

How We Provide Support

Our background is in having responsibility within the public sector for developing and delivering solutions that improve the lives of others. We are not ‘theoretical’ consultants who do not have 'real world' experience of implementing the strategies and delivering the project solutions they have proposed. Rather, our experience and expertise has been gained through delivering in practice the type of services we offer to clients. We have made things happen and delivered lasting change on the ground that has enabled people, businesses, places and local communities thrive and grow and made local economies stronger and the environment a better and healthier place in which to live. We have worked directly with businesses to help them improve, expand and grow and supported local community groups to bring new life back into struggling communities and improve their health and well-being. Over the years, we have found out what works well and also sometimes what didn’t work as well as expected and learnt from it.

As Change Catalysts, our role is to empower clients to make things happen and enable them to act on putting their own ideas and solutions into practice by providing them with additional experience, support and expertise they need to make something happen. We do that in a number of ways, including:

• Providing additional ‘hands-on’ support to fulfil a specific task or role;

​

• Shaping an idea or potential solution into a practical project, getting it off the ground and supporting its successful delivery;

​

• Offering an objective perspective, fresh insight and an independent ‘big picture’ view to facilitate a collaborative approach to exploring new policy directions or preparing/reviewing strategies and programmes of action;

​

• Bringing specific experience, expertise or knowledge not found within an organisation or ‘change’ partnership to help make something happen.
